1998 - SPI
signed a major contract with nation's largest footwear distributor
firm, to manage, maintain, develop and support store systems applications
in 2200+ retail locations, nationwide. SPI responsibilities also
included representing the footwear firm in one of the largest retail
firms in the U.S.
1999 - SPI business
growth boosted by the introduction of its "Staff Augmentation"
division. SPI was selected as a prime vendor for one of nation's
largest retail firm. SPI started providing contracting services
to several large clients nationwide. J.D.Edwards and Peoplesoft
ERP services were added to the staff augmentation division as specialized
services.
1999 - Core
Teams methodology was derived which made SPI a “one stop”
Information Technology solution provider (“SPI Solutions”).
The concept of “Core Teams” was revised and a formal Consulting
Strategy was established.
2000 - SPI
established a strategic partnership relationship with one of largest
and leading auto service firms in the U.S. SPI functioned as an
extended arm of the auto service firm and managed, implemented and
supported store systems applications, nationwide.
2000 - SPI
started focusing on a division to provide data communication related
services to its clients. Apart from EDI and other modes of data
communication involvements, SPI specialized in providing MQ Series
based messaging solutions to its clients. The achievements included
a major data integration project between two large U.S. firms having
distributed environments.
2001 - The
major accomplishment for year 2001 was the implementation of an
integrated Point of Sale and Back Office Store Systems application
to a leading auto service firm in the country. Custom auto service
application was developed and implemented which was accessed remotely
via WAN and thin clients technology. The system helped manage store
level services and polled data to a central server located at client
Head Quarters.
2002 - SPI
launched its proprietary "Business Application Integration"
methodology and started developing tools and strategies to support
this methodology.
2003 - SPI-Dx
(SPI Data Exchange) solution was launched and beta versions were
released as a forerunner to a full integrated communication suite.
SPI-Dx enabled connectivity between departments and/or vendors/suppliers
for streamlined and secured data transfers. SPI unveiled this technology
at the Technical Expo organized by Detroit Chamber of Commerce
as an initial step towards making DATMOBIL available to automotive
suppliers and other Metro Detroit businesses.
